Hawkeye

Disney+ Series

Episodes 1 & 2

Hawkeye is the Disney+ series based on the character Hawkey from the MCU and comicbooks. The series starts streaming exclusively on Disney+ November 24th. Former Avenger Clint Barton can't seem to just be a family man and runs into some trouble.

So, them he has one job, finish wrapping up the trouble and get back to his family in time for Christmas. Trouble comes in the form of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer who is a super fan of Hawkey and wants to be a superhero. The two are forced together after some random circumstances and team up to clean up some of Clints past that Kate finds herself right in the middle of.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, “Hawkeye” We start out the series with Clint aka Hawkeye aka Ronan, in New York City with his kids during the Christmas Holiday season. He is spending some time with them and wanting to bond. Probably to make up some time because of the blip. We also meet Kate Bishop, who is a wealthy, smart and athletic young woman who seems to not want to follow the rules. Not really an original storyline for any superhero story, but Kate Bishop has been around in the comic world for a while. Not everything is perfect when you have a lot of money and she quickly finds out her life may not be what she thought it was.

Most of us know Kate Bishop will be the next Hawkeye, if you did not know this, sorry. In the first two episodes you see a lot of fight scenes, family issues on both sides and, yes it does touch on past Marvel storylines. All in all, it is a very "nice" series. I am not blown away yet but I am looking forward to see what else is coming. I have always thought Clink/Hawkeye was one of the most underutilized characters in the MCU and I hope we get more of him before Kate takes over. BTW my favorite seen is when Clint has to LARP. I could not laugh. worth watching just for that.
